International Summer Gashuku - September 2020

Against all the odds and a worldwide Pandemic 'International Summer Gashuku' with Karateka and Instructors from the UK with social distancing and safety measures in place throughout the weekend....

We begin the day with a 30 minute 'High Impact Training' session with Danny....

Jiu Ippon with sensei Atkins...

The students are split into three groups and taught by the senior instructors....

Renshi Leigh teaches Seipai kata....

Bo with sensei Crawford...

Nunchuka with sensei Filenczuk....

Enpi techniques with sensei Needham...

The traditional opening kata Kanku dai - viewing the rising sun (over the North sea)....

The teams compete in 3-man Kata to be judged by the sensei....

Penalty shoot out between the teams....

Off to the beach....

Instead of the infamous 'King of the Hill' the social distancing 'stone in a bucket' ....

Team beach volley ball....

Tug-0-war begins....

The North sea extremely inviting 37 degrees this year.....

So much fun with the red sea weed....

The Saturday evening BBQ is always a great way to unwind from the days training....

And now off to the Dolphin....

The Sunday hike begins in Winterton on Sea....

Team events continue with Rounders....

Gashuku finishes with the awards for various achievements and honours earned over the weekend...
