Winter Gashuku - March 2012

We begin the day at 7.30 with an early morning black & white walk on the Winterton On Sea Nature reserve ...

Training at Great Yarmouth dojo, this years club's are represented by sensei: Kevin Leigh 6th dan, Colin Needham 5th dan, Ivor Garner 5th dan, Steve Marriott 5th dan and Carlos Joachim 2nd dan.

The class was first split into four groups, with the sensei's taking turns with each group.

This years Gashuku is devoted entirely to competition kumite..

 12 noon...

 

Sensei Garner gives the students a rest with ground work and 'the sock snatch'   

We finish the day with five man 70's Kung-fu film demos which prove there are students with some great imagination...

 

Before training and after... seems their all in Kung-fu mood !!!

 4.00pm
After the photo then off to the swimming pool...

 

 7.30pm

Saturday night at Hermanus for the Fancy dress party!!! The bar staff are always so happy to see us...

Some great outfits with everyone making a tremendous effort to win this year..

The evening brings out the alter egos of the normally reserved karate-ka..

 The fun starts with the Yes No game...
