Winter Gashuku - March 2015

 

8.00 with an early morning walk on the Winterton On Sea Nature reserve...

 

A bit chilly but no one seems to mind...

Training at Great Yarmouth dojo, this years the club's are represented by sensei: Kevin Leigh 6th dan, Colin Needham 5th dan,  Paul Filenczuk 5th dan and James Atkins 4th dan

The class was first split into three groups, with the sensei taking turns with each group.

This year's Gashuku is once again devoted to competition kumite and fighting techniques..

We trained hard with only four 10 minute breaks throughout the 5 hour session...

Sensei Leigh shows James from Norwich the secret technique...

The Instructors this weekend are some of the most experienced in the UK with over 35 years experience each...

Training over so now off to the swimming pool !!!

 8.00pm

Saturday night at Hermanus for the Fancy dress party!!! The bar staff once again are ecstatic to see us...

Some great outfits with everyone making a tremendous effort to win the best fancy dress this year...

 

The evening brings out the alter egos of the students...
